All Golden Pilates' instructors are Certified Pilates teachers
Instructors:
Dianne Powers - Pilates
Dianne lives in Golden, Colorado, where she enjoys the serenity of living in the foothills and the quaintness of her small community. She was a professional dancer with Hannah Kahn until May of 2000 when she retired. Dianne's introduction to Pilates began in 1998 through rehabilitation for a knee injury. Beginning in March of 2001 Dianne attended The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado, an international teaching center for instructors. She received her certification in October of 2002.

Susan Horst - Qi Gong
Susan teaches 18 Style (Qi Gong) which she has been practicing and teaching for over 10 years.
Karen Schmitz - Pilates
Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Karen Schmitz received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with majors in psychology and dance. It was through dance training that Karen learned about the profound benefits of Pilates. In September 2001, Karen moved to Colorado to attend the Pilates instructor certification program in Boulder, which she completed in January 2003. Karen lives in Bailey, CO with her significant other, Jeff and black lab, Denali with whom she loves spending time hiking, dancing, and traveling. Karen also loves helping others create a new awareness, understanding and strength in their body, mind, and spirit.

Shanna Meek - Pilates
Originally from Lubbock, TX, Shanna received a B.S. in Dance Management from Oklahoma City University. She currently teaches dance, choreographs, and performs professionally in the greater Denver area. Shanna was drawn to practicing Pilates as a dancer because of its emphasis on strength, flexibility, and control. However, she has also experienced firsthand the healing powers of the exercises through their use as rehabilitation while recovering from trauma sustained in a car accident. Shanna received her certification from the Pilates Center in Boulder, CO. She believes that the mind-body connection inherent in the exercises can have a profound effect on movements performed in daily life, and is pleased to have the opportunity to share this knowledge and awareness with others.
